YCIS Chongqing bilingual poetry contest, held on Friday, November 29 was a vibrant celebration of creativity and linguistic diversity, showcasing the talents of our Lower and Upper Primary students. This engaging event marked the culmination of a dedicated unit focused on reciting and writing poetry in both English and Chinese.
Students dazzled the audience with their heartfelt recitations, bringing to life classic poems and their own original works. The atmosphere was electric as parents and teachers gathered to support our young poets, who poured their hearts into every line. The contest not only highlighted the beauty of language but also fostered a deep appreciation for the art of poetry across cultures.
The event served as a testament to our commitment to nurturing bilingualism and creativity in our students. By encouraging them to express their thoughts and emotions through poetry, we empower them to build confidence and develop essential communication skills. The success of this contest has inspired us to continue promoting literary arts within our YCIS community, ensuring that every student’s voice is heard and celebrated!
