On Tuesday November 26th, Year 3 students embarked on an exhilarating field trip to the Chongqing Natural Resources Science Museum, immersing themselves in their inquiry unit focused on rocks, fossils, and soils. This hands-on adventure provided a gateway for students to venture deeper into the captivating world of geology.
Throughout their visit, students actively participated in scientific inquiry, honed their observational skills, and conducted experiments that unveiled the mysteries surrounding rock formation. They meticulously annotated geological maps and explored a myriad of exhibits that showcased the rich diversity of natural resources.
The museum's interactive displays acted as catalysts, igniting curiosity among the students and prompting them to pose thought-provoking questions, nurturing a profound appreciation for science and the spirit of exploration. This enriching encounter not only bolstered their comprehension of rocks but also sparked contemplation on the inner workings of the world that surrounds them.
This field trip served as a remarkable opportunity for our students to bridge classroom teachings with practical, real-world applications! We eagerly anticipate future chances for our students to partake in experiential learning beyond the traditional confines of the classroom, fostering a holistic educational experience that transcends boundaries.
