In the spirit of fostering awareness and community engagement, on Friday Nov 26, our dedicated Year 12 IB students spearheaded a Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) project centered around Movember, an annual event that highlights men's health issues, with a particular focus on mental health awareness.
The project was a resounding success, characterized by its innovative approach and the enthusiastic participation of our school community. Our students took the initiative to engage parents. Through informative sessions and the distribution of comprehensive information packs, the project aimed to educate and raise awareness about the often-overlooked issue of men's mental health.
Adding a touch of creativity and solidarity, participants donned moustaches throughout the event. This simple yet powerful gesture not only symbolized support for the cause but also sparked conversations and encouraged others to join in the movement.
The project was not only informative but also fun and engaging, capturing the essence of what CAS projects strive to achieve. It provided a platform for meaningful dialogue and demonstrated the impact that students can have when they take the initiative to address important social issues.
Through this Movember project, our students not only fulfilled the CAS objectives but also contributed to a greater understanding and support for men's mental health within our community. It is a testament to the power of education and awareness in driving positive change.
