The Extra-Curricular Program strives to give YCIS students an opportunity to take part in a wide range of sporting, cultural and academic activities, allowing them to excel in these areas and to broaden their field of interest.
This year, as always, we provide a wide range of activities to give students from all year levels opportunities to participate in the Extra - Curricular Program. With art, culture, language, sport, technology and extra support for Academic subjects are all embedded in. There are Taekwondo, Tai Boxing, Orchestra, Choir, Beaded Jewelry, Drama Club, Drone Building as well as Science Club, Chinese Penmanship and so on. For Secondary students there is an opportunity to participate in the SCISAC and ACAMIS sports program. Additionally, there is swimming programs for students in Year 5 and up to prepare them for the ACAMIS swimming meet in March.
Our students thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to engage in areas that are not always necessarily covered in the curriculum. They develop new skills and also improve on skills and attitudes they already possessed. We trust that the YCIS Extra-Curricular Program will be an excellent learning experience for all involved.
