YCIS Chongqing is proud to announce our YCYW scholarship award winners for 2023-24. After an extensive and rigorous application and selection process, the following students have been honored with scholarships:  CHEN Chin Shu Ryan in Year 8 with the Talent in English scholarship; WONG Yu Zack in Year 9 with the Talent in Chinese scholarship; PENG Cheryl Siyuan in Year 10 with the IGCSE Scholarship; and TIN Gong (Tiger) in Year 11 with the IB scholarship.

Our scholarship programme is a merit-based award that acknowledges the highest levels of academic achievement, leadership, and service from our students. It targets highly motivated and talented students who can benefit from a bilingual international education with a strong creative element.  It focuses on discovering students’ unique talents and skills and has two award categories: The Yew Chung Yew Wah Subject and Talent Award and the Yew Chung Yew Wah IGCSE / IB Award. 

We are sure that, combined with the learning opportunities to write reflective and personal statements for the application as well as completing a panel interview with school leadership, the scholarships our students have earned will inspire them to continue to achieve excellence in all their academic pursuits and be positive contributors to our school community. We look forward to nurturing their development, celebrating their successes in the next school year.
