Parents play an important role in their children’s education. Central to our effectiveness in bringing out the potential of our students is our partnership with parents. At YCIS Chongqing, we encourage parents to be involved in their child’s learning in many ways, and provide various of opportunities to create close communication between home and school.

On Wednesday, Mr Wang, the father of Celine Wang in Year 5, came into the Learning Community to share a presentation about his profession.

The presentation related to the ‘Technology’ topic that the Year 5 Learning Community are currently focussing on. The presentation included videos, images and written explanations. Students got to learn about a factory that produces diesel engine parts. It was interesting to learn about the process of manufacturing and how it is has changed over the past few decades.

Also, the students were excited by the concept of how technology is rapidly evolving and in the words of Mr Wang ‘The future is coming’. We are grateful to Mr Wang for helping to inspire the student.
