At the end of semester one, the Chongqing Liang Jiang New Area Education Bureau and Chongqing Public Security Bureau Liangjiang New Area Branch Exit and Entry Administration Detachment jointly organized a cultural mixer for Chinese and foreign teachers at YCIS Chongqing. Over a hundred Chinese and foreign educators and related professionals from Liang Jiang New Area gathered at our campus to participate in these events.

Leaders from Liang Jiang New Area Education Bureau, Exit-Entry Administration Detachment, Administrative Committee as well as Yew Chung International School of Chongqing delivered keynote speeches.

The theme of the event was “Cultural, Wisdom and the Future”, symbolizing the gathering of wisdom through the cultural exchange to inspire the future of education. The main purpose was to enhance understanding of the services and regulations for foreigners living in Chongqing, strengthen cooperation between Chinese and foreign professionals, enhance teachers' international perspectives and connectivity, and deepen mutual understanding of Chinese and foreign cultures, enriching the cultural lives of Chinese and foreign educators.

The program featured a variety of activities, including guest arrivals, keynote speeches, cultural displays from Chinese and foreign teachers, and a salon for teacher exchanges. The cultural display included a string symphony performance of "Liber Tango" by Chinese and foreign teachers, a recitation of the poem "Spring in a Pleasure Garden · Snow" by foreign students, traditional dance performances, and Western music appreciation, showcasing the unique charm of both Eastern and Western cultures.

The refreshments provided an open and friendly atmosphere for Chinese and foreign professionals to share teaching philosophies, discuss curriculum development, and explore important topics such as strengthening cooperation across academic fields.

This cultural mixer was not only a platform for communication among Chinese and foreign educators but also an important step towards enhancing the openness of education in Liang Jiang New Area. Through this event, we hope to build an open and shared educational exchange platform, promote mutual learning, and provide beneficial insights for educational practices.
