This week YCIS Chongqing celebrated our first Anti-Bully week of the academic year. The theme for this week was RESPECT.
Students gathered together on Monday, August 28th for opening assemblies in Primary and Secondary. At that time we reflected on last year’s ABW and had the official unveiling of our newly installed Power For Good sign-off poster. Following this, we introduced the theme of respect and talked about the many ways we can demonstrate respect in our lives. Areas of focus included:
Respect for Others
Respect for Ourselves
Respect for Our Community
Respect for Our Planet
Students spent the week working on RESPECT explorations and activities in the classrooms and form groups. Teachers were impressed with the creativity and sincerity of the work students created.
On Friday we held Wear Red for RESPECT activities and students gathered for a whole-school wrap-up assembly led by our Year 13s. In this gathering we shared work from students across the school, which marked an ending of this meaningful event.
