YCIS Chongqing welcomed students and parents to our ‘settling in’ interviews on Monday 21st September. This was an opportunity for parents to meet new teachers, gain some insights into how their child(ren) is progressing and understand the expectations for them, as parents.

This year, there was a greater emphasis on the student joining the interview so that the open and transparent communication among teachers, students and parents could be shared along with some goals being set. As a school, we were extremely happy with the number of parents and students who attended and the way they embraced the suggestions offered by teachers in order to support the students’ ongoing development.

We received great feedback from our community for this initiative as it reflected in one of our key priorities: mutual support between school and family.
