On Friday October 11 all the students of YCIS Chongqing came together to celebrate the annual Founder’s Day.

Days like this really show what a wonderful community we have at YCIS Chongqing. It was incredible to see the students enjoying being active, even though for many of them it was quite full on! The kids will remember this as a day with a lot of fun together with their friends and teachers.

The theme all schools of the YCEF followed this year was “Sport”. Throughout the day students participated in a diverse range of sports and physical activities, starting with a whole school morning work-out and a house dance, taught by the Year 12 and Year 13 IBDP Form students.

After this the Primary and Secondary students played chaos ball, they competed in their new houses in battle stations and participated in a rugby clinic. All students were moving around all day and having lots of fun in the different activities. In the afternoon secondary students finished the day with friendly badminton, soccer and volleyball matches, followed by a match between the ACAMIS Volleyball Team and a team of teachers.

On this day the community of students, teachers and all supporting staff worked together to have a day, to celebrate the Foundation, the opportunity we have to play sports and be active, and the great community we live in at YCIS Chongqing.
