The recent Primary Bilingual Poetry Competition held at YCIS Chongqing was a remarkable showcase of talent and linguistic prowess, bringing our primary learning community together to explore the power, and fun, contained within language. The event commenced with mesmerizing bilingual performances by our K4 students, setting the stage with poetic brilliance.
Students from Year 1-3 performed selected poems based on the topics they had recently studied. The young performers captivated the audience with clear articulation, expressive gestures, and unwavering stage presence.
Meanwhile, the Year 4-6 students took the stage with their own original bilingual poems. This segment showcased their creativity and linguistic abilities as they crafted verses in both Chinese and English.
The Primary Bilingual Poetry Competition was a resounding success. It not only provided a platform for students to showcase their linguistic abilities but also fostered their creativity, self-expression, and overall stage presence. We are immensely proud of all the participants and extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and every student who took part.
