On October 13, 2023, YCIS Chongqing had a wonderful learning experience at this year's Founder's Day, celebrating 91 years of academic excellence across the many schools within the Yew Chung Yew Wah Education Network.

Days like this truly showcase the incredible community we have at YCIS Chongqing. Students were treated to a special programme centered around the theme of ‘Sports’. The activities included whole-school vertical house activities, the Ping Pong Relay Challenge, and the Landmines Maze Challenge in the Primary school, as well as the Kin-ball Hoops Challenge and the Landmines Challenge in Secondary. In the middle of all this, we arranged a video link-up with all the schools within the YCYW, with each school offering a message of congratulations to the main venue in Shanghai.

The day concluded with a Happiness Colour Run, which added a vibrant and 'colourful' conclusion to the week. Students from Kindergarten K2 to Year 13 and their teachers immersed themselves in the lively atmosphere, enjoying the enthusiasm and happiness that filled YCIS Chongqing, making it a joyful, lively and bright campus.

Whilst sports was the theme, and fun the goal, we were delighted to witness our staff and students coming together to work in teams on the activities, developing their collaborative and creative learning skills, truly embodying our learning community model.
