At the start of this semester, our Year 1 CFL(Chinese as a First Language) students began an unknown but exciting pinyin learning journey.

At the beginning they faced some challenges, however, they persisted and never gave up. We had a lot of fun activities, such as spelling practice, pinyin cards play, hand-making pinyin letters and pinyin songs. The students are noticing pinyin is everywhere and feel joyful when learning pinyin.

On this journey, teachers and students have worked hard together and gained a lot of knowledge. Students are even able to accurately spell and write pinyin.

We are looking forward to seeing these students continue on their learning journey and also having wonderful experiences and progress in the area of Chinese Studies in the future.
