Due to the current restrictions, we have been unable to provide a ‘camp’ experience for our students, as we know, camps are a great opportunity for children to discover new things and learn from a different perspective outside of the classroom. So instead of the students going on camp, we brought the camp to them as we continue to look for opportunities to support the development of new interests and new skills.

After successfully partnering with Wild China during the summer and due to their 20 years’ experience in providing high quality outdoor learning experiences along with an excellent reputation for providing bespoke ‘on campus’ programmes for schools. Our Year 1-13 students took part in a range of age-appropriate activities, providing them with a new style camp experience in preparation for future experiences.

Wild China designed a 1-day program that focused on teambuilding, developing leadership skills, learning new skills, and having fun with their teachers and peers. Our students took part in a variety of activities throughout the day ranging from shelter building to water filtration, fire making and knot tying. We also had some map reading using a compass and kite making, after a full day of activities there were some very tired but happy students and staff!
