As a new SLT we are excited to welcome back new and existing students to our school, which is why preparations are already well underway for next academic year, with changes being made to our school environment and new resources being unpacked and prepared ready for use. One of the key developments for us as a school will be communication with our school community. As an SLT, we will be sharing regular updates on the developments within school and our progress against our key school improvement priorities. We will also be providing greater opportunities for parents to speak with us about how we can further support the development of our students along with providing you with a series of workshops to discover what YCIS stands for and how we provide a very unique international learning experience.

Our new and existing teachers who are currently outside China are counting down the days until they can return. We as a school are doing all we can to get them into Chongqing as quickly as possible. In the meantime our new teachers have been given a "buddy" who is an experienced, existing member of staff whom they can to talk to about life at the school and Chongqing, so when they arrive the transition from their current to their new school is as smooth as possible.

There is so much potential here at YCIS Chongqing and it is our aim to ensure we realise that potential so we are truly recognised as one of the best international schools in South West China and beyond.
