Making one person smile can change the world, maybe not the whole world but their world. Did anyone make you smile today? Well, that's exactly what YCIS Chongqing students, staff and parent volunteers set out to do on November 22. Our Smile ambassadors showed a strong desire to be a small change in someone's life during our 5th Annual Smile Campaign.

Smile Campaign was inspired by Jayden Hayes, a child from America who lost both of his parents in 2014 at the age of six. Jayden wanted to make others feel joy to help him in overcoming the sad experiences of losing his family. To help spread Jayden's kindness around the world, our YCIS Chongqing students served up over 2500 Smiles throughout Chongqing including Jiefengbei and Guanyingqiao. Students showed great initiative, confidence and pride as they approached people of all ages and backgrounds to make a small change in their life.

After nearly a half decade of this event, we are excited to announce that we have reached over 12,000 Smiles in the last five years. Even a small change can make a big difference!
