On November 20, 2018 forty YCIS students, led by the Student Support Department and members of the Parents Organisation, ‘served up smiles’ to the people of Chongqing in both Jiefangbei and Guanyinqiao.

The event, now in its third year, was inspired by Jaden Hayes, an American boy who in 2015, despite losing both his parents at just six years old, decided to live his life to the full and ‘smile through the pain’ by spreading the gift of kindness and smiles to others.

The event was a great success! Our students shared smiles in the most unusual places, and demonstrated how they ‘choose respect’ by handing out stickers specially designed by our talented student body and taking pictures with members of the community.

Thousands of stickers where shared and many more smiles. The Primary Student Council and Secondary Student Leaders ensured that a fabulous day was had by all!
