The year 7 students have finished their learning about Ancient Civilizations by looking at Mesoamerica. Students were asked to create a museum display about the three major civilizations from this era; the Mayans, the Incas and the Aztecs.

As part of their learning students discussed what a museum display would entail and identified that the purpose of a display is to not only provide information about the civilization but also about primary sources from that period of time. Some true artistic abilities were displayed, but more importantly a sense of teamwork, students even helped members from other groups to achieve the best they could.

We have had a great time in class working together to prepare our displays and the artifacts to accompany them.
